It's Bethel's turn to host! Sign up to help at the men's Gifts homeless shelter January 22-29. There are many opportunities to serve; information is available outside the sanctuary. If you know a man who needs shelter, please encourage him to call 751-7848. Bethel's will also host the shelter the week of March 18-25.
God is doing great things in the Janesville Public Schools and in our community! Join us in praying for our students, teachers and administrators on the 4th Saturday of every month at 9:00 am. The next scheduled prayer time is January 28, 2012 in the sanctuary. Thank you to all of you who have come to pray or continue to pray on their own for our community's school districts.
Sign up today to be a part of this year's Easter musical, "Your Great Name: A Worship Event Lifting Up the Name Of Jesus," featuring familiar and well-loved songs expressing praise to our Risen Savior! From quiet and worshipful moments to lively and exuberant celebrations, this musical worship experience lifts high the name of Jesus. Our performance will be on Palm Sunday, April 1st , during the morning worship services. The choir is open to anyone in high school or older. If you enjoy singing, and have been thinking about getting involved in the worship ministry in some way, this is a great place to start! Rehearsals begin Thursday, January 19 and will continue Thursday nights from 7:00 – 8:15 pm. Come and join us!
There will be a business meeting on Sunday, January 29 at 6:30 pm. All members should attend; regular attendees are welcome but are not able to vote. Mark your calendars: the Annual Business Meeting will take place on Sunday, June 10 at 6:30 pm.
Bethel gives parents the opportunity to present their infants or young children to the Lord to show their commitment to raise them in a home that honors God and where they can make a decision to follow Christ when they are older. The next opportunity for baby dedication will be Sunday, February 12. Please see a pastor or call the church office if you would like to participate.
Attention, Men! Your early morning Bible study has changed meeting days. This Growth Group now meets WEDNESDAY mornings at 6:00 am. The current study is Foundations for our Faith: A Solid Word For An Unsure Age, a study on the book of Romans by Adrian Rodgers. See Todd Berg with any questions.
Tickets are now available for the "No Regrets" conference simulcast! The event takes place Saturday, February 4 at Elmbrook, but the event is sold out. Bethel is going to Faith Community Church (in Janesville) for the life simulcast. Tickets are $18, which includes lunch. This year's special speaker is Dr. Tony Evans. As a growing church, Bethel must consider the number of people who attend our services who have physical restrictions. If you do not have a handicapped sticker/license plate, please do not park in the handicapped spaces. If you have a sticker but don’t necessarily need to park in the marked spaces, or if you have a spouse who can drop you off at the door and park the vehicle in a regular space, this will open up those spaces for others who may need them more.
